I do some trademark work and love it because it (in my opinion) is a hybrid between IP, litigation, and business law.

Here’s a link to an article about some high-profile trademark disputes that involved small business owners.

I saw the movie Julie and Julia recently and realized that blogs may result in your dreams being crushed by your heros.  My dreams were crushed in 1977 when I learned that Kristy McNichol would never be my girlfriend.

So, I’m back.

Lotsa IP cases out there–saw today that YouTube (Google) won Round 1 with Viacom regarding infringing materials posted on YouTube.    I will comment once I read the appellate briefs.  Logic says that the YouTube and Napster cases should end similarly.  Logic and law often do not mix, though.
